We are pleased to announce the first harvest of SunLite potatoes, a tastier, healthier fresher potato that is initially being grown by Florida farmers for the first time ever. SunLite potatoes are now available in grocery stores across the Southeast United States.
In early tests conducted by researchers at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences research farm, the SunLite potato consistently led all others in taste, texture and appearance.
Nutritional tests later concluded that a 5.2-oz. serving of a SunLite potato has 18 grams of carbohydrates compared with about 27 grams in the same size Russet potato -- a 30 percent difference adding to SunLite’s appeal!
